We ate here on Boxing Day. Nice atmosphere and good food. When we made our reservation, we mentioned our preference for a completely vegan and soy-free meal, and they accommodated us very well.

What a wonderful Christmas Eve we had at LaSqala in Zwolle.
The two of us enjoyed a four-course shared dinner.

Our allergies and dietary requirements were perfectly accommodated without any hassle. Everything went smoothly and without any fuss. Every dish was surprising, beautifully presented, and above all, truly delicious.

What truly topped off the evening was the service: genuinely friendly, attentive, and with a pleasant, natural sense of humor. Just the right balance between professional and personal.

In short, we had a delicious meal, lots of laughs, and a truly perfect evening.
We would love to come back.

We had a fantastic meal here with a group of 14 people. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly. The food was tapas-style and came in several courses, including vegetables, fish, and meat. The Alhambra beers were also delicious. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended in Zwolle.

Een pareltje in de binnenstad van Zwolle! Je loopt er misschien zo voorbij, maar zodra je binnenstapt, is het puur genieten.

Wij zijn hier met de familie (6 personen) geweest en hadden voor vrijdagavond gereserveerd. Bij aankomst werden we vrolijk onthaald. Het duurde even voordat we de menukaart kregen, maar zodra alles op gang kwam, werd dat ruimschoots goedgemaakt.

We kozen allemaal voor het verrassingsmenu – een absolute aanrader. Lekker achteroverleunen en je laten verrassen door de chef, die precies weet wat lekker is. (Spoiler: dat weten ze hier zeker!) De gastheer heeft een enorm gezellige persoonlijkheid en houdt wel van een lolletje, wat de avond extra leuk maakte.

Het eten was gevarieerd en overheerlijk. Iedereen heeft van alles kunnen proeven en onze borden werden telkens leeg en tevreden opgehaald. Ik zie in andere reviews dat sommige mensen het restaurant duur vinden, maar als je kijkt naar wat je krijgt, is het zijn prijs dubbel en dwars waard. Je krijgt royale porties vlees en vis, perfect bereide groenten en alles wordt met verse ingrediënten gemaakt. Dit kost tijd, maar dat proef je ook.

Het menu is divers, met telkens nieuwe smaken en weinig herhaling in ingrediënten. Wij hebben genoten van een voorgerecht, een tussengerecht en een hoofdgerecht, en sloten af met een heerlijk dessert. Bij elk gerecht bestelden we iets te drinken en kwamen dus uit op ongeveer €12-€13 per gang (exclusief drankjes). Mensen die het hier te duur vinden, moeten misschien nog eens hun rekenskills bijspijkeren – de prijs is meer dan terecht.

Het tempo van de gerechten was precies goed en we gingen voldaan, maar niet té vol, naar huis. Een absolute aanrader voor wie graag nieuwe keukens ontdekt!

Unforgettable - after a gorgeous concert, we (2 persons) met yesterday for the first time in real life after being befriended online for quite a while, so we were in celebration mood. Reading the google comments on the welcoming manner of its owner, we decided for LaSqala. We couldn’t have made a better decision. The food was very delicious w/ beautiful sauces and particularly the sweets were outstanding. Cherry on cake was in fact the kind, friendly, attentive manner of the owner who created a great amicable mood, so all guests felt easy & happy. It’s certainly not the cheapest place around, but really, it’s worth every single penny. The place is very tidy and well run. Highly recommended!

This was the second time I have visited this restaurant with my family and we were absolutely delighted. The food was simply fantastic and the owner was not only incredibly friendly, but also very funny, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. I can absolutely recommend this restaurant. It's a must for anyone looking for a great culinary experience.

It was such a beautiful experience! The food was always heavenly, the service was warming, you immediately felt at home and safe, thank you for that! The restaurant is very cozy, you feel completely safe and in good hands. we will be back! Thank you for the lovely hug that I was able to take with me at the end.
